New York Supreme Court Judge ordered Trump Organization to hand over sensitive documents to New York Attorney General for investigation

Judge Arthur Engoron of the New York Supreme Court has ruled on Tuesday, 15th December 2020, that the Trump Organization must handover to Letitia James, Attorney General, New York State, some documents connected to a property whose tax abatements are under investigation.

Basklifenews learnt from CNN that the “attorney-client privilege” and confidentiality claimed by Amy Carlin, Trump Organization’s attorney, was countered by attorney Eric Haren, with the New York attorney general’s office, who argued “that the documents were not privileged, in part, because the Trump Organization had “waived privilege” when it disclosed certain documents to the IRS to “gain benefit,””

Indeed, this is a setback for Trump Organization, and difficult hurdle for President Donald Trump, whose presidential immunity will cease on 20th January 2021, the day President-elect Joe Biden will succeed him as the new president of United States of America.
