MALAMI’S MAGIC ON DELTA STATE FUND: “The federal government is, indeed, the victim of crime” and not the owner of the fund

by basklifenews

The Delta State Government and the people of Delta are in mourning – mourning not because of the menace of the covid-19 in the state but the statements of the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami during his Tuesday appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today.

Malami said that Delta State fund £4.2 million that former Delta State Governor, James Ibori looted while in office would not be giving to the Delta State Government but would be used for Federal Government projects – Abuja-Kano road, Second Niger Bridge, and Lagos-Ibadan express road.

In Malami’s words, “The major consideration relating to who is entitled to a fraction or perhaps the money in its entirety is a function of law and international diplomacy.” He said that “all the processes associated with the recovery were consummated by the federal government and the federal government is, indeed, the victim of crime and not sub-national.”
