President Mohammadu Buhari has threatened to crush all those attacking government facilities and personnel and vowed that he would not allow his administration protected by the constitution to be pulled down. He gave the warning after receiving the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, and much other electoral staff at the State House, Abuja.
President Buhari warned:
“I receive daily security reports on the attacks, and it is very clear that those behind them want this administration to fail.
“Insecurity in Nigeria is now mentioned all over the world. All the people who want power, whoever they are, you wonder what they really want. Whoever wants the destruction of the system will soon have the shock of their lives. We’ve given them enough time.”
The fierce-looking president cautioned: “Those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through the war, will treat them in the language they understand. We are going to be very hard sooner than later.”
Added to his warning, Buhari tweeted: ”Many of those misbehaving today are too young to be aware of the destruction and loss of lives that occurred during the Nigerian Civil War. Those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through the war, will treat them in the language they understand.”
Responding to the president’s declarations, one Somto Okonkwo tweeted: “Someone Should Inform President Buhari And His Fulani Caliphate That This Generation Of Igbos Won’t Standby And Watch Another Genocide Happen In The South East. A 2nd Civil War Will Only Bring A Swift End To Nigeria. If The South East Burns, Nigeria Will Burn. This Is Not 1967!!!”
Likewise, Victor Israel, a Twitter user, appealed to Twitter firm to suspend President Buhari. According to him: “You suspended Donald Trump’s account because of Comments like this, President Of Nigeria Buhari has done the same thing, we Nigerians are reporting his account, Kindly take it down!”
