The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has set free from prison, Loujain al-Hathloul, a women’s rights activist and a social media personality.
Loujain al-Hathloul was imprisoned, as the Saudi government puts it, for “attempting to destabilize the kingdom.” She had been arrested for disobeying the ban on women driving in the Saudi kingdom.
It is very possible that western education contributed to influencing her feminist activism. She graduated from the University of British Columbia.
