Yakubu Dogara dumps PDP for APC

The former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Honourable Yakubu Dogara, has left People Democratic Party and joined All Progressive Party for what seemed to be political moves to strengthen his political relevance in the country.

Earlier today, Honourable Dogara and Governor Mai Malla Buni of Yobe State, who is also the Chairman of the APC Caretaker/Convention Planning Committee visited Aso Villa and had a chat with President Mohammadu Buhari, who had few hours ago came back from Mali after brief regional meeting with some Heads of States.

Although Honourable Dogara did not brief the media on the outcome of meeting with the President, our reporter learnt from Governor Buni that Honourable Dogara has returned back to APC ruling party. As he stated, “we paid a courtesy call on the President in continuation with our efforts in rebuilding the party, we are here to see Mr. President and brief him on the development.”

Narrating the reason Hon. Dogara returned to APC, he noted that “they shouldn’t be surprised because the former Speaker is a member of the APC. He is because the reason in which he left the APC is no longer there. He is back now.”

Hon. Dogara had represented a Federal constituency of Bauchi State, before dumping APC for PDP.
