Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau accuses Trump of inciting violent rioters

In a news conference dated 8th January 2021, Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, alleged that President Donald Trump incited violent demonstrators that attacked the US Capitol.

In his words,

“What we witnessed was an assault on democracy by violent rioters, incited by the current president and other politicians. As shocking and deeply disturbing and frankly, maddening as that event remains, we’ve also seen this week that democracy is resilient in America, our closest ally and neighbor. Violence has no place in our societies and extremists will not succeed in overruling the will of the people.”
