JAILED WITHOUT TRIAL: A Russian judge jailed Alexei Navalny for 30 days

A Russian judge has ordered the detention of Mr. Alexei Navalny for 30 days
until the time he will be tried. Vadim Kobzev, a lawyer to Navalny, has vowed to appeal the judgment.

Mr. Navalny, was accused of violating his parole – an action which many considered as political witch-hunt.

True to his words, Mr. Navalny, after five months of recovering from nerve poison allegedly administered to him by suspected Russian secret agents, arrived at Moscow from Germany on Sunday 17th January 2021.

Tension is apparently rising in Russia. Mr. Navalny, currently in custody, has appealed to his supporters to protest against what he perceived as injustice.
“Don’t be afraid. Take to the streets, not for me, but yourselves, for your future,” he told them.
