Alexey Navalny jailed as he calls President Putin “PUTIN THE POISONER”

Alexey Navalny, the unrepentant critic and nightmare of President Vladimir Putin, on the flimsy excuses that he violated his parole conditions for his 2014 suspended sentence while in Germany for the treatment of the nerve agent poison, has been sentenced to more than two and a half years by a Moscow court, on Tuesday, 2nd February 2021.

The sentence was not a surprise since Kremlin was rumoured to be interested to jail Navalny, who called President Vladimir Putin – “Putin the poisoner.”

In the midst of the massive protests in the cities of Russia in support of Navalny, his lawyer Olga Mikhailova, made public that they will appeal the verdict.

For some days now Russian police have used force, intimidation, and suppression to crackdown on peaceful demonstrators.
