NUCLEAR TENSION: President Biden refuses to lift Iran’s sanctions

President Joe Biden of the United States of America has made clear that he would not lift the sanctions of Iran until the Islamic country shows a willingness to negotiate with the US government and stop further uranium enrichment. President Biden noted that such should be the condition for America to rejoin the nuclear pact known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

Meanwhile, the government of Iran has not shown any desire to comply with the new American administration’s stance. Teran avered since Trump’s government unilaterally left the 2015 nuclear pact in 2018 that America should lead the way in compliance by lifting the harsh sanctions placed on Iran.

Mohammad Javad Zarif, the Iranian Foreign Affairs Minister told Fareed Zakaria of CNN, during his interview on GPS: “it is very clear, it was the United States that left the deed. It was the United States that violated the deed. It was the United States that punished any country that remained respectful and compliant with the deed.”
