If a serious measure is not taken, the Ebola epidemic is imminent in West Africa. According to the information from Guinea’s health institution headed by Health Minister Remy Lamah, about three people out of seven confirmed Ebola victims have died.
Sakoba Keita, the head of the National Agency for Health Security, noted that after the burial of a victim on 1st February 2021, in Gouecke town, Nzerekore region of Guinea bordering Liberia, that “some people who took part in this funeral began to have symptoms of diarrhoea, vomiting, bleeding and fever a few days later.”
The last Ebola epidemic that took place in West Africa between 2013-2016 and killed more than 11,300 victims.
