A Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz has been antagonized by the people for being insensitive to the plight of his people he is representing in the senate. Cruz was accused of making a trip with his family to Cancun, Mexico, while his constituents are experiencing excruciating winter, epileptic power, and the water crisis.
In his defense, Cruz noted that “with school cancelled for the week, our girls asked to take a trip with friends. Wanting to be a good dad, I flew down with them last night and am flying back this afternoon.” He further said that: “My staff and I are in constant communication with state and local leaders to get to the bottom of what happened in Texas. We want our power back, our water on, and our homes warm. My team and I will continue using all our resources to keep Texans informed and safe.”
Hours after the public outcry, Cruz returned back to Texas and apologized for the mistake. However, many people are protesting for him to resign.
