The Anambra police command is mourning. Unknown assailants in a black Mercedes Benz 4Matic SUV and a Salon car, at Nkpologwu, Aguata Local Government Area, Anambra State, killed four policemen at checking points, set ablaze police patrol vehicle and went away with their guns.
In the meantime, CP Monday Bala Kuryas, the Commissioner of Police Anambra State has inspected the scene and ordered an investigation. He also instructed the continuation of the patrol of the area.
What could be the motive of the assailants? Could it be a revenge game from an unidentified group, taking into consideration the attack at Aba police station? Time shall tell.
