Mrs. Grace Ifeoma Adichie, the 78-years-old mother of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie has died in Awka Anambra State, on 1st February, 2021 – some months after the death of her husband Sir James Nwoye Adichie, a Professor of Statistics and former Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nigeria Nsukka. She had six children and many grandchildren.
