The 71-year-old Vice President Kembo Mohadi of Zimbabwe resigned yesterday after he was confronted and accused of sexual misconduct of his staff and married women – of which evidence of his insatiable taste for promiscuity was audio-recorded.
According to what was posted on the Twitter account of the Information Ministry of Zimbabwe, Mohadi noted: “I have been going through a soul searching pilgrimage and realized that I need the space to deal with my problems outside the governance chair.” In view of that, he said that: “I am stepping down as the Vice President of the Republic of Zimbabwe.” He noted that the reason for his decision is in deference of the government “so that it is not compromised or caricatured by actions that are linked to my challenges as an individual.”
