WOMEN IN AFRICA: Amb. Dr. (Mrs.) Seraphine Chioma Nwosu, “The Girl Advocate of the Year”

Marge Piercy once told us that “a strong woman is a woman determined to do something others are determined not be done.” In Amb. Dr. (Mrs.) Seraphine Chioma Nwosu, a UN Girl Child Ambassador, the President of Seraphine Outreach, a Director in Gee Dell Concept Limited, a prolific writer, that such a rare quality is found.

Her years of advocacy for Girl Child education, welfare, and protection have endeared her to both local and international bodies. On 27th November 2021, by 10 am, at J.T. Ade-Ajayi Auditorium, University of Lagos (UNILAG), Lagos State, Nigeria, the Women in Africa, in the Future Women Conference and Awards 2021, Dr. Nwosu will be awarded as “The Girl Advocate of the Year.”

Dr. (Mrs.) Nwosu has been hosting the United Nations International Day of the Girl Child every year for the Military and other Secondary Schools in Nigeria since 2014. Her mission is to see that every girl child is well nurtured and her value-enhanced to make society a better place.

“She is a spirit-filled lover and servant of God. A vibrant and multi-talented lady with a heart of gold. A prolific writer sought after speaker, coach, and blogger at Chioma’s corner.

“She has a visible passion for the girl child, a teacher by profession and calling, a parenting solution provider to families, and a growing generation coach. She is using her talent, resources, and experience to impact families especially women and young people which according to her is a service to God and humanity.

“She believes that if the girl child is educated, it will enhance her productivity and progress in life.”

Her vision, THE SAVE THE GIRL CHILD PROJECT, has geared her to tour various communities, Churches, schools, parents’ fora, to educate, counsel, and rescue thousands of girls from the trap of irresponsible men and self-destructive habits.

She has always never missed her appointment with female teenagers at the end of every month TAGGED- “The Girl child, Equipped and Empowered”. The meeting allows her the opportunity to interact and groom the girls as they are taught-:

Added to that, “Seraphine is not letting go the youths and women which is part of her ministry. “The Beautiful Women Series” which she started two thousand and six is waxing stronger every day. Her book “Where Are The Mothers?” reveals her heart cry towards the role of women and mothers in their homes and nation-building”.”

CHIOMA

On 28th November 2021, at Elcee Centre, 4th/7th Avenue, FESTAC, Lagos, Dr. Seraphine Nwosu will celebrate her 50th birthday. She will use the occasion to launch a new book titled “CHIOMA”, which serves as the summary of the life of an Amazon, a missionary and an exponent of the girl child – Dr. Seraphine Nwosu.
