LONG ROPE FOR TWITTER: “Why the president took that step is to recalibrate our relationship with Twitter and not to totally drive Twitter away from our country,” Keyamo

A human rights activist and Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo (SAN), has declared that Twitter must implement all the conditions set by the Federal Government of Nigeria before they will be allowed to restart operation in Nigeria.

He said this during a programme, Sunday Politics, on Channels Television, Abuja, “we have made significant progress in that regard. The reason why the president took that step is to recalibrate our relationship with Twitter and not to totally drive Twitter away from our country, and that recalibration we have started it…We gave them a lot of the conditions and they have agreed to all the conditions. What is left now are the timelines to fulfil those conditions.”
