The Minister of State for Labour, Mr. Festus Keyamo, SAN, who alleged that the report of the Lagos State Endsars panel was illegal and unconstitutional has gotten what he bargained from the fiercest Human rights lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana, SAN.
Yesterday, during a conference for the promotion and advancement of democracy, Falana deflated Keyamo opinion and stated that the Lagos State government has the constitutional power to set up the Endsars panel.
According to him: “Nigeria is governed by law. The Lagos State government sets up a judicial inquiry, it was not an inquiry set up on the directive of the federal government. When you say that, you insult the state, which is a sovereign within the federation.”
