A United Kingdom resident, Dr. Olufunmilayo, has decried the alarming rate with which the basic standard of living is out of reach to many Nigerians.
He noted:
“Pure water is 20 naira now?
“Before I left Nigeria, pure water sachet was 5 naira. About 5 years ago.
“Bag of rice used to be 8k.
“I hear 25k now.
“If something essential and basic like food and water has prices going up 200% within 5years, what’s the hope of the average Nigerian?”
