The Japanese government under Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has executed by hanging three death inmates – the first of its kind since 2019.
In a news conference in Tokyo, Yoshihisa Furukawa, Justice Minister said that “these are extremely brutal cases, taking precious lives for selfish reasons. I think these are terrible incidents not only for victims who lost their lives but also for bereaved families.”
It was alleged that one of those executed, Yasutaka Fujishiro, in 2004, killed 7 people, among them was his aunty.
