History was made on Wednesday, 13th January 2021, when President Donald Trump, was impeached for the second time, in less than 2 years, since the time of President George Washington.
Trump was removed due to his incitement that caused insurrection in Capitol. US House, presided over by the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, voted 232 to 197 to remove him. Among those that voted to remove him are ten Republicans.
The first impeachment of President Donald Trump was on 18th December 2019. He was charged with abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. It was the intervention of the US Senate that saved him from removal and disgrace.
